Nriyadhyayana Series

With the sudden closing down of normal life during, COVID, the dance field faced similar problems of not being able to perform or attend dance performances. However, KBP conceptualised a workshop series in 2021 called the Nrityadhyayana series.

The workshop saw students across various Parampares joining online to learn special and rare compositions of the four unique Parampares of the Classical Dance Tradition of Karnataka. The workshop spanned out four months, with 8 sessions each month.

Dancers who were restless with the energy to learn and practice Bharatanatya attended the workshops in large numbers, making the series a huge hit.

Compositions like Thaya and Brahma Stuti of the Kolar Parampare, Amarushataka Shloka, Krishnakarnamrutha Shloka, Kannada Varna and Kshetragna Pada of the Mysore Paramapare, Sabha Vandana and Nritya Vedopanishath of the Nanjangudu Parampare, and the Ekambareshwara Shabda and Vishesha Adavus of the Muguru Parampare and Urupugalu were taught in the wrkshop by eminent Gurus like Dr. Lalitha Srinivasan, Dr. Tulasi Ramchandra, Dr. Mala Shashikanth, Dr. Padmini Shreedhar, Vidwan Sri Ramkrishna Kodancha, and Vidushi Smt. Vidya Ravishankar.
