In 2023, Karnataka Bharatagama Pratishtana started the process of affiliating itself to the Karnataka State Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University so as to provide their students and other students of dance an opportunity to explore the option of taking up Bharatanatya as an option for a career.
With schools and Universities introducing Bharatanatya as a part of the curriculum, this step by KBP expanded their reach to all students of dance.
Having a certification from an affiliated University, enhances the portfolio of students thus providing a alternative for students to think about.
The organisation received its affiliation in 2024 under the guidance of the Vice Chancellor of the Karnataka State Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University, Prof. Nagesh V. Bettakote. The organisation members travelled to Mysore for the event.
